Top ten tips for marketing your business in 2010

1. Know what you want to do and why – people love to know your
story.
2. Develop a strong brand and logo that people can recognise as
you.
3. Know your target market who are they, what do they look like, what
do they read, where do they go?
4. Who are your competitors? and what do they offer that is
different to you?
5. Concentrate on your existing customers – word of mouth and
excellent customer service are your best friends.
6. Have a Unique Selling Point (USP), know your USP and ensure your
USP is obvious in your logo, name and all of your marketing
materials.
7. Shout about the benefits to your customers not about the features
8. Ask your existing customers for referrals, ask WHO do you know?

9. Put a simple database together to keep track of your network and
write down everyone you meet so you can keep them updated with
your story, your offers and any helpful information you may have for
them.
10. Invest in professionals help when you need it don’t try to ‘make do’.
